Comments: some of the questions and answers I get are great………………
Work Needed: cut trees that are pushing wood barriers away. I will take scissors to cut away cloth showing used to for trail. concern someone will catch foot. helped last yr but more showing. stop cutting to below trails causing rock/gravel to slide.
Work Performed: trail patrol ,overlook, falls and 2nd bridge. overlook has tree growth between sidewalk and wood barrier and new cut thru. stopped rock throwing and flower picking, pulled hounds tooth and trash pick up. answered questions, need to write a book. took pictures documenting concerns and for visitors. placed pay envelopes under wipers and watched response.

Comments: The trail is in fairly good shape all the way to the lake with some muddy areas and a bit of snow around the lake. Would suggest taking only the better of the two 2 man saws on the next detail. The handles of the 2nd 2 man saw are in poor shape.
Work Needed: Five additional trees need to be cleared up to the water crossing beyond today’s work area.
Work Performed: Cleared 5 trees from trail from just inside Wilderness boundary to a point about three quarters of the way around the lake.

Comments: Beautiful autumn day with peak aspen color.
Work Needed: Removal of large log standing on end in trail 10 minutes above the Mica Creek crossing. Removal of second log extending across trail 1/2 mile above the aforementioned.

Gold Creek Trail has a small tree blocking the trail between the trailhead and creek crossing, according to visitor reports.

Comments: We enjoyed absolutely beautiful weather and clear but hazy skies. (Our last foray was rained out one hour into the Flattops from Sheriffs Reservoir.) We rode in on horseback. The colors were at their peak on this side and were spectacular. The trail was clear of downed trees all the way to Trappeur’s .
Work Needed: Several signs are down on the Carhart trail. They are lying on the ground next to the posts south of the lodge.
Work Performed: Interacted with hikers and two bow hunters,removed trash from trail. Checked the trail registries for sign in sheets.

Comments: We were blessed with 4 days of beautiful weather and the trek was enjoyed by all without any problems (-: Note the area seemed much drier than when we were there earlier this month.
Work Needed: One tree over the trail just past Slavonia Mine on the way to Red Dirt Pass.
Work Performed: This was the women’s educational llama trek. In addition to group education we did trail patrol/visitor contacts. We also removed 2 illegal fire rings on the SE side of the pond by Slavonia Mine and restored area.
