Comments: found several illegal campsite around Lks Diana and Sanchez and in Encampment Meadows, removed several.

Comments: The stock trailer was pulled over in a non-designated, non-use area next to the road, despite available suitable areas.
Work Needed: One illegal campsite was situated in the revegetation site to the north of Gilpen Lake. There is a the need to plant rocks and vegetation to reclaim the site.

At Slavonia parking area, the dip was particularly rutted and muddy.

Work Performed: Small amount of trash. Reclaimed illegal campsite removing fire debris and trash.

Comments: There is a muddy dip, crossing the road at the entrance of the parking area that is now deep enough to bottom out a vehicle.
Work Needed: Remove logs and debris from upstream side of log crossing over Gold Creek. Recommend come-along.

Comments: Technically challenging cutting. Most trees were down lengthwise in the trail, rather than across trail. So many cuts; large, heavy sections to roll off trail.
Work Needed: Need to return on 7/21 to clear from bottom of switchbacks to Encampment Meadows.
Work Performed: Cleared about 18 trees on Main Fork Trail from MZW boundary to bottom of switchbacks. Couldn’t continue; ran out of time

Comments: Beautiful day with little wind. A number of the trees down were green ones.
Work Needed: There is no sign on registration box and no clip for registration sheets.
31 trees on trail need to be removed. 8 of these are near the water crossing on #1100.
Work Performed: trail patrol and training of 3 new FOW membes. Diane White-Crane and Bob & Mary Korch. Removed some branches etc. from trail and put registration sheets and a pencil in box.

Comments: The sign-in box had been torn from the post and was lying on the ground. The trail signs for both the Gold Lake Trail 1150, and the Gilpin Lake Trail 1161 had been torn from their posts at the trailhead, and were missing.

Comments: Great 3 days camping with few showers on Monday. Explored Mica basin above lake on Tuesday. Mica trail needs some serious rock removal. Campsites at Mica clean.

Comments: found and removed 2 illegal firerings at Gold lake; trail in good shape although horses seems to be kicking lose rocks into trail; found more trash than usual. Think there is more usage this year, therefore more careless folks. Folks on horses cannot be bothered to sign in.
